Infrastructure Review & Analysis

EEI’s Infrastructure Review and Analysis service is a comprehensive review of an application computing environment. This offering results in an in-depth report of the client computing environment including the global computing environment, hardware deployment, software deployment and network environment. The resulting report will include documentation of the existing computing environment, a series of recommendations to make the environment meet client requirements and a project plan for implementation of same.

The Infrastructure Review includes the following principal components:

§       Server Tier – review hardware configuration, server operating systems, CPU/memory/process load, and capacity;

§        Data Tier – review the storage of persistent data in the client computing environment;

§        Data Flows – assist in mapping data flows and feeds, and understanding data integration within the client computing environment and partner systems;

§        Partner Systems – review the data and technology systems with the primary objective of understanding where these computing and data resources should reside going forward.

EEI will work with the appropriate client resources to analyze and document the current computing infrastructure. Analysis typically begins with the data flows and the actual deployment of data and applications. In parallel EEI will work with the client team to collect and document user access requirements, work load, and data update and processing details. EEI approaches these projects from the global point of view with analysis concentrated on the data flows and feeds within the client computing systems.

EEI provides project management and will work closely with the client team to deliver a performance measurement and reporting process to ensure management is apprised of progress.

Key Deliverables – EEI will deliver an in-depth report of the client computing environment. This report will include the global computing environment, hardware deployment, software deployment, and network environment. The report also includes a series of recommendations and a project plan for implementation of the recommendations.

A second phase of the project may include implementation of the recommendations originating from the Infrastructure Review.
