Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI) offers a program to meet the marketplace demand to upgrade releases of the Sybase and Oracle DBMS no longer supported by the vendor. This program enables a customer to understand the cost and effort to support a migration to the most current release of the DBMS with minimal impact to their organization.

Two phases need to be completed for each instance of the DBMS:

• First a fixed price Improvement Opportunity Scan (IOS)
• Secondly, the actual migration of the database to the targeted release

The IOS is performed for a fixed price depending on the environment, number of releases to be leapfrogged and application complexity and produces the following:

• Physical architecture document focused on DBMS dependant components;
• Project plan used to perform the migration and delivery to production;
• Proposal for EEI to perform the migration at a fixed cost.

The Migration can be performed in the EEI lab at 115 Broadway to ensure the access required to complete tasks outlined in the IOS project plan without burdening customer infrastructure or personnel until unit testing and most of the Quality Assurance testing is completed.

Database Application Migration Services

Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI) offers a program to meet the marketplace demand for the migration of database applications from one DBMS product to a different DBMS product; for example; migrate a Microsoft SQLServer application to Oracle. This EEI offering enables a customer to understand the cost and effort required to complete a DBMS migration.  The current products supported are Microsoft SQLServer, Oracle, Sybase, and IBM UDB.
